 he border village of Hotiza in Prekmurje offers numerous sightseeing attractions for visitors within the framework of the Ecomuseum Mura project.
The river Mura, its dead river branches, the river ferry and the pristine surroundings offer each visitor a special kind of relaxation in unspoiled nature. The wonderful attractions of the area are motifs in numerous paintings which are made within the framework of the international artist's colony entitled "Življenje ob reki Muri" (Life by the River Mura). Visitors can walk along the newly built walking trail (the Roman road) which leads towards the border crossing with the Republic of Croatia. Along the trail, they can observe the stations of the Halas's Way of the Cross. The renovated surrounding of the monument of three counties (County of Beltinci, County of Međimurje and County of Lendava) is interesting, especially from a historical point of view.
